Very nice service. Muffins have large tops and the dill dip with the baguette was so soft and delicious. Great spot to just hang out in.

La Bou was a perfect little place for a snack after the zoo. Close and easy parking. I remember growing up seeing this and other La Bou locations and never going inside. Some of my friends parents would go weekly or daily for a coffee or for a sandwich at lunch. It definitely appears that La Bou is frozen in time! Everything was very reminiscent of the 90s for me, colors and equipment and seating/tables (except the register looked brand new). I kinda liked it. It's like a time capsule! They had tea, coffee drinks, pastries, and sandwiches. I believe salad too but I'm not a salad girl so didn't pay much attention. We ended up ordering a ham and cheese grilled and splitting it between my husband and I. It was piping hot, the cheese was so melty, and there was basil which I had never thought to add but it was delicious. We also got an iced mocha. My husband thought it was too sweet, but I think the espresso was just a softer flavor and not as bold, because it was just right sweetness wise to me. Overall I was happy with our order and the pricing was reasonable, which is hard to find in this day and age. My items came out in reasonable time and my wait in the line was also reasonable timing. I'd go back.

They have the best creamy dressing around! We go once a week to get the large size. I love all their food and never get tired of it.

Stopped here for a roast beef and cheddar cheese panini sandwich for lunch. $12.95 for a sandwich. It was a pretty good sandwich. It would've been nice if there was a pickle spear included. but nothing. I guess everything here is a la carte. (I wouldn't mention it except that I ~really~ look forward to pickles with my sandwiches. ) You go in, order and pay for your food, then wait at the far end of the kitchen area where the orders are trayed and prepared for pickup. Here are napkins and cutlery, plus pats of butter, and packs of salt and pepper. We wanted to eat outside because the weather was nice. There are a number of stationary tables outside. However, there weren't very many chairs with the tables, so a friend and I had to go indoors and grab a few for our group of five. Note: out of 5 tables outside, there were only a total of 5 chairs outside.

I've been wanting to stop in and finally had the chance. What's up with the trashy reviews?? The aromas when you walk in are so tantalizing!! Lots of seating, very clean and great customer service. I ordered the eggplant panini and man oh man was it delicious !! I also ordered the tomato bisque and I'm telling you, both hit the spot in my stomach. I was very satisfied with the soup as well. So well done, with the pieces of bread on the side to dip in made the food fulfilling and just the right amount. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will be back to try the salads and have more soup.

This La Bou location has been a staple in the area for many years now. Whether you are picking up your order, eating there, or having it delivered to your home/office, the food is always delicious and consistent. If you have the opportunity to stop inside, the staff is always kind and the customer service is always top notch. For breakfast, they have yummy scones, croissants, muffins, or breakfast sandwiches. For lunch, I love their BLT sandwiches on a croissant or baguette, their Chinese Chicken Salads, or my daughter's favorite, a baguette with dill sauce. So whether you're shopping next door at Parkside, having fun at the Sac Zoo or Fairytale Town, or just in the mood to try something tasty, check out La Bou!

I use to come here frequently for the Chinese Chicken Salad. Today I ordered the ham and cheese croissant, it was $6. It was light on the ham I expected more for the price. The croissant itself was good in taste, the baker took pride in the appearance, looks perfect. There is a place nearby that charges $6 and has double the ham. Customer service Staff friendly Ambiance Place is clean and chill place to get coffee drinks.

La Bou is one of tried and true favorites for a great sandwich and salad. Sandwiches come with the bread of your choice. Depending upon my mood I switch between croissants, baguettes and sourdough rounds. All are delicious and provide a nice size full sandwich. The sourdough is softer than I'm used to and that's a good thing. My normal sandwich choices are turkey, veggie & cheese and pesto & cheese. As for the salads I rotate between the house salad (the creamy dill dressing is so good), Chinese chicken salad, and La Bou chicken salad. The house salad has avocado, cucumbers, tomatoes, and crumbled swiss cheese. The Chinese chicken salad has a great flavored soy-sesame vinaigrette and the shredded chicken adds some protein. The La Bou chicken salad is a new favorite of mine because of the marinated chicken and included noodles. It's best to eat this salad the same day because the noodles don't store well. If you have never been, definitely give La Bou a try. They also have a frequent customer program that earns points based on purchases and eventually earns you values off purchases.
